Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information the Today Quiz app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Anonymous Authentication. We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication. When you first open the app, a random unique identifier (UID) is created automatically for your device — no name, email address, or any personal information is required or collected.

Quiz Results. We store only your quiz results (e.g., answers submitted and score for each daily quiz) linked to your anonymous UID. No other activity, usage analytics, or device data is collected by us directly.

Push Notifications. The app will request your permission to send push notifications. If you grant permission, we use it solely to notify you when a new daily quiz is ready to play. We do not send marketing messages or share your notification token with third parties. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

Advertising Data. The app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob and its mediation partners. These advertising partners may automatically collect certain information from your device in order to serve ads, including:

• Advertising identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
• Device information (device model, OS version, screen size)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected directly by the advertising SDKs under each partner's own privacy policy and is not stored by us.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To save and display your quiz results within the app.
• To send you a daily notification when your new quiz is available (only if you have granted permission).
• To display advertisements within the app through our advertising partners.

4. Advertising Choices

By default, personalized advertising may be served based on your advertising identifier. You have the following controls:

• iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier.
• Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads to opt out of ads personalization or reset your advertising ID.
• You may also manage ad preferences through Google's Ad Settings.

Opting out of personalized ads limits ad targeting but does not remove advertisements from the app.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your quiz results are linked to your anonymous UID, not to any personal identity. If you uninstall the app, access to your anonymous account is lost. To request deletion of quiz result data associated with your UID, please contact us using the details below and include your anonymous UID (visible in app settings).

6. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Because we use anonymous authentication, no personal data is collected from any user directly by us regardless of age. For advertising served to younger audiences, we rely on AdMob's age-appropriate ad serving controls.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
