Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the Today Quiz: Daily Brain Trivia app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use this app for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app.
• Attempt to manipulate or falsify quiz results, streaks, coins or rewards through unauthorized means, scripts, modified versions of the app or by exploiting bugs.
• Use bots or other automated tools to play quizzes, answer live quizzes or collect rewards.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

3. User Accounts & Authentication

The app supports the following sign-in options:

• Guest: No registration required. A random unique identifier (UID) is automatically assigned to your device. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your device. Guests can play quizzes, but coins, XP, avatars, achievements, leaderboards, groups and live quizzes require a signed-in account.
• Sign in with Apple or Google: You may sign in using your Apple ID or Google account via Firebase Authentication. By doing so, you authorize us to receive and store your email address and display name as provided by the chosen sign-in provider. If you sign in to an account that already exists while playing as a guest, your guest progress is not carried over, apart from your recent daily quiz result.

Username. To use leaderboards, groups and live quizzes, you must choose a username. Your username is publicly visible on leaderboards and within all groups you join or create, and it also serves as your invite code. You can change it once every 24 hours; after a change or account deletion, your previous username becomes available to other players. By choosing a username, you agree that it will:

• Not impersonate another person, brand, or entity.
• Not contain offensive, hateful, or sexually explicit language.
• Not violate any applicable law or third-party right.

We reserve the right to remove or change a username that violates these requirements without prior notice.

4. Coins, XP and Other Virtual Items

The app includes virtual items: coins, XP and levels, avatars, achievements and streaks. They are available to signed-in players.

• Earning and spending. You earn coins by playing quizzes, levelling up, unlocking achievements, inviting friends, watching ads for coins and placing in live quizzes. You can spend them on avatars, the 50:50 lifeline, restoring a streak and live quiz entry fees. Current amounts and prices are shown in the app.
• No real-world value. Coins and other virtual items cannot be bought with real money, and they cannot be exchanged for money, cashed out, sold, transferred or traded between players, inside or outside the app. They are a limited, personal license to use features of the app, not property that you own.
• Changes and corrections. We may change how virtual items are earned, what they cost and what is available. We may correct balances and items that result from a mistake, a bug or a breach of these Terms, and remove coins or items obtained unfairly.
• Storage and loss. Your balances are stored on our servers and linked to your account. Coins you spend are not returned, except where the app says so (for example, when a live quiz is cancelled). Virtual items are lost when you delete your account and end without compensation if the app is discontinued.

5. Live Quizzes

• Taking part. Live quizzes are scheduled events in which all players answer the same questions at the same time. To take part you need a signed-in account with a username, and you must register while registration is open.
• Entry fee. A live quiz may have an entry fee in coins, shown before you register. If you do not have enough coins, you can watch an ad for coins to cover it (Section 6). The fee is charged when you register and is refunded only if we cancel the live quiz — not if you leave, miss questions, do not show up or do not finish in a prize place.
• Prizes. Prizes are coins only, in the amounts shown for each live quiz, and go to the top places on the final leaderboard. Players are ranked by score, with ties broken by total answer time. There are no cash or physical prizes. Prizes are added to your balance once the final results are ready. Because coins cannot be bought and have no monetary value, taking part in a live quiz never involves paying money.
• Timing and fair play. Answers are timed and scored by our server, and an answer that reaches us after a question has closed does not count. We are not responsible for answers lost because of your connection or device. We may disqualify players, void results, and withhold or remove prizes if we find cheating, automation or the exploitation of bugs.
• Public results. Your username, avatar, score, number of correct answers and rank appear on the live quiz leaderboards, which are public (see the Privacy Policy).
• Changes. We may reschedule, change or cancel live quizzes. If we cancel one, entry fees are returned to every registered player.

6. Watching Ads for Coins

Signed-in players can choose to watch a short ad in exchange for coins, up to a daily limit. The amount and the limit are shown in the app and may change. Coins are added only after the ad has been watched to the end and our server has credited the reward. Ads may not always be available. Watching these ads is optional, and we do not control their content. Using any tool or trick to collect rewards without watching the ad is not allowed.

7. Inviting Friends

• Your invite code is your username. A new player can enter an invite code once, when choosing their first username.
• The new player receives bonus coins straight away; you receive yours when they finish their first quiz. The amounts are shown in the app.
• You cannot invite yourself, and each email address can claim an invite bonus only once, even after an account is deleted and created again.
• Creating accounts, or having others create them, only to collect invite rewards is not allowed; we may withhold or remove rewards obtained this way.
• Share your code only with people who are happy to receive it, and do not spam.

8. Leaderboards

The app has daily and monthly leaderboards (top 1,000), an all-time XP leaderboard and a streak leaderboard (top 250 each), group leaderboards and live quiz leaderboards. Your username, avatar and results may appear on them and are visible to other players; live quiz leaderboards are also published on the internet. You can hide yourself from the global leaderboards in your Profile; this does not hide you from group or live quiz leaderboards (see the Privacy Policy for details).

By taking part, you acknowledge and agree that your username and results may be displayed on these leaderboards. You may not use the leaderboards to harass, impersonate, or target other users.

9. Groups

Signed-in users may create groups and invite others to join in order to compete on a shared leaderboard. When participating in groups:

• Your username and scores are visible to all members of the group.
• Group creators are responsible for the groups they create and the invitations they send.
• You may not use groups to harass, spam, or target other users.
• Group names must adhere to the same conduct standards as usernames (see Section 3).

We reserve the right to remove any group or revoke group access that violates these Terms.

10. Feedback, Question Reports and Messages

You can send us feedback, report a problem with a question and receive our replies in the Messages inbox. Please keep your messages respectful and do not include personal information about yourself or others. You agree that we may use your feedback to improve the app without any obligation or payment to you. We read every message but cannot promise to reply to or act on each one.

11. Reminders and Notifications

With your permission, the app shows reminders: a daily reminder at the time you choose, streak reminders, and reminders for live quizzes you ask to be reminded about. Reminders are entirely optional — you can turn them off in the app's settings or your device settings at any time without losing any app functionality. Because reminders are scheduled on your device, they may arrive late or not at all if your device limits notifications, and a live quiz may change after you set a reminder for it.

12. Account Deletion

If you have a signed-in account, you have the right to delete it at any time. Account deletion is immediate and permanent — once confirmed, your account and its data, including coins, XP, avatars, achievements, streaks and quiz results, cannot be recovered.

How to delete your account:

The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is deleted and what may remain. Guests can ask us to delete their data via Settings → Send feedback or at contact@todayquizapp.com. If you encounter any difficulty using the in-app deletion, contact us at the same address.

13. Advertising

The app is free to use and is supported by advertising. Advertisements are served through Google AdMob, which uses the following mediation partners:

• AppLovin (AppLovin Corporation)
• Meta Audience Network (Meta Platforms, Inc.)
• Unity Ads (Unity Technologies)

By using the app, you agree to the display of advertisements. Where the law requires it, you will be asked for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are shown. Ads served may be personalized based on your device's advertising identifier. You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). You may not use any mechanism to block, interfere with, or circumvent the display of advertisements within the app.

14. Intellectual Property

All quiz content, design, and code within the app are the property of the developer. You may not reproduce or distribute any quiz content without prior written permission. You may share the result, level-up and achievement cards that the app creates for you, for personal and non-commercial purposes.

15. Changes to the App

We may add, change, suspend or remove features — including live quizzes, rewards and virtual items — at any time. From time to time you may need to install an update to keep using the app.

16. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account as described in Section 12. We may suspend or close an account, or remove its virtual items, if it seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms.

17. Disclaimer of Warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that quiz content is error-free at all times, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date and version at the top show the latest change. When we make significant changes, the app will ask you to review and accept the new Terms before you continue playing. If you do not agree, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
